In an exciting step forward in terms of accessibility and inclusivity, Lligwy beach proudly presents Beach Wheelchairs available to anyone with mobility challenges.
Anglesey County Council has been purchasing Beach Wheelchairs to make the beach more accessible and ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the beautiful sandy beach at Lligwy Bay. In addition to the wheelchairs, the council has also built accessible toilets, a car park and a ramp. The aim is to eliminate the barrier for those with mobility issues from enjoying the seaside and ensure that no one is left behind.
Lligwy beach offers the opportunity to enjoy one mile of unspoiled sandy beach and a variety of water activities including swimming, surfing and kite surfing.
If you know someone or if you are a person who is facing mobility challenges, do not hesitate to come and use these new facilities.
